Personal blog · #ValueDriven

Hi, I’m Moch Dieqy.
I try to live by what I believe in.

I’m a senior software engineer and a trainer by trade, and I write about everyday life — not just the how, but the why. Every choice starts with a value, every value needs a story, and this is where I tell mine.

01 — The idea

Values before anything.

Anyone can fill a day. The hard part is deciding which things deserve your time. I start from the value a choice creates — for me, for the people around me, and for the person I’ll be a year from now.

  • Whybefore how
  • Peoplebefore things
  • Claritybefore cleverness

How I live

Four habits that keep everyday life honest. Scroll through them — the card on the side follows along.

Start with why

Keep scrolling

  1. Start with why

Before I commit to anything, I write the sentence that explains who this is for and what changes for them. If that sentence is weak, the choice probably is too.

  2. Small steps, learn fast

Small attempts are not a compromise — they are the cheapest way to be wrong. I’d rather learn from one real day than from a plan I made in June.

  3. Design for the edge

Bad days, late nights, low energy, unexpected guests. The exceptions are not exceptions — they are the actual shape of a large share of real life.

  4. Write it down

Notes are an act of respect for the next person — usually future me. A decision explained once saves a hundred conversations later.

About

I’m an ordinary person trying to live on purpose and write about what I learn along the way. I care about choices that are honest, useful, and kind — and about the people who have to live with them.

This site is my notebook. Some posts are polished essays, others are half-formed thoughts I’m still working through in public.

By trade I’m a senior software engineer and a trainer. Most of what ends up here comes out of that work — how to decide what deserves your time, and how to keep a habit honest.
